Stuart is a saddle-tank engine.
Biography[]
After The Harwick Tramway closed in 1904, the MSR Directors wanted to extend the line. While Duke and Atlas extended the line from the hills, Construction would also be undertaken from the lowlands carried out the Mid-Sodor Railway newest editions. Stuart and Falcon. The project ran like clockwork with both halves connected Arlesdale. On April 12th 1906, this was when and where the four engines met for the first time. They got along well with each other, aside from when he and Falcon pulled pranks on their older colleagues. They were eventually joined by Andreas and later Stanley.
Unfortunately for Stuart and his friends, the Mid Sodor Railway experienced great hardship after the Peel Godred Branch Line opened in 1953 and only managed to stay in service up to a little over a year afterwards. Almost immediately after the Mid Sodor Railway was finally forced to shut down, the now-former MSR engines were all sold to the Skarloey Railway, including Stuart.
Persona[]
Stuart is highly enthusiastic, eager and bubbly. He can be occasionally cheeky, but is kind-hearted, well-meaning and good mannered. As shown in Lamp, he is exceptionally skilled with mathematics.

Stuart is painted dark green with black linings.
Basis[]
Basis
Stuart is based on the Talyllyn Railway's Edward Thomas, a Kerr Stuart Tattoo Class 0-4-2ST that originally worked on the Corris Railway. Interestingly, Edward Thomas only donned the Giesl ejector funnel for a limited time, while Peter Sam has used his since its introduction. Four other Tattoo locomotives are also preserved, including a replica on the Corris Railway.
